An FBI that didn’t even want a Glock pistol, but got one anyway and still uses it to this day. GEN 2 More sizes and calibers were introduced into the Glock lineup. The magazine baseplate was changed, along with other small changes. And some were made with Picatinny rails—these are sometimes referred to as Gen 2.5.

On the G19, in particular, you have a pretty large amount of real estate to hold on to, making it an eminently shootable pistol and controlling recoil very easy, even for newer shooters. The G19 is a recoil-operated, locked breach striker-fired pistol with a tilting barrel. Basically, it’s your standard polymer-framed striker-fired handgun, and while not the first to use that design, it is certainly the most iconic and prolific.
As soon as I signed for it, I changed the polymer sights and took it to the range. Upon shooting it, I next noticed that the trigger had been upgraded. Military and law enforcement agencies worldwide trust and continue to place these Glock pistols, such as the Glock gen 5, into service. If you’re new to Glock brand products, they were first introduced to the U.S. market in the early 1980s.
That’s one of the great things about Glocks – you can use magazines interchangeably so long as they’re the same caliber and as big, if not bigger, than the standard capacity of the weapon. IE You can insert a 17 rd magazine into a Glock 19 (which normally has a 15 rd magazine) but not the other way around. So, no matter which Glock model you choose, make sure you invest in the right holster to complement your firearm and enhance your overall preparedness and safety. Your choice of holster can be just as critical as your choice of firearm.
The differences between these two guns lie mostly in the grip frame, but even here there are a lot of similarities. The trigger reach, the distance between the backstrap of the grip, and the face of the trigger Glock 19 For Sale are identical.
